2 - Assistant Athletic Director of Sales and Service, UCLA Athletics Evan is the Assistant Athletic Director in charge of Sales and Service for UCLA Athletics. Calling on alumni and non-alumni alike, Evan's main role is to create new clients and service existing clients of UCLA Athletics. A former ball player himself, Evan strives to turn every casual fan into a life-long UCLA fan.
3 - Associate Director, Fox Sports Gabriela is an Associate Director at Fox Sports. Located in Los Angeles, CA, Gabriela and her team are behind the scenes coordinating commercials with live sports productions. From counting in talent on set to communicating with Mexico about lead-ins to a soccer match, Gabriela is working in a fast-paced role.
4 - Athletics Photographer, Graphics Athletics Kekoa is a photographer with Graphics Athletics, a Pittsburgh-based team photography company. Traveling around the country on weekends, Kekoa and his team photograph upwards of 100 teams at various tournaments or contests and then makes the prints available immediately or for future order.
5 - CEO, Powerhouse Physiques Anowa is a fitness professional and the founder of Powerhouse Physiques, a New Jersey-based fitness and motivation company. Dubbed as the "First Full-Figured Fitness Phenomenon", Anowa brings her positive attitude, diet, and exercise regimen to women looking to "lose the weight, keep the curves."
6 - Chief Revenue Office, Monumental Sports and Entertainment Jim is the Chief Revenue Officer at Monumental Sports and Entertainment, the sales and marketing home for sporting events at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC. Working closely with the likes of the Washington Capitals, Wizards and Mystics, Jim is in charge of generating revenue for the organization through marketing, public and community relations, and classic streams such as season ticket sales.
7 - Hockey Color Analyst, Penn State Sports Network Timothy King is the Hockey Color Analyst for the Penn State Sports Network. He walks us through both the preparation and broadcast process for a Penn State home game, from catching practices to trading notes with the visiting team, Timothy gives us an in depth look at everything that goes on before he gets in the booth on game night.
8 - Producer, NFL Films hannon is a producer with NFL Films. Based out of Mount Laurel, NJ, Shannon is on the road almost two-thirds of the year filming features to air during NFL broadcasts. When back in the office, Shannon is editing her own content and planning and prepping the next assignment. One of the biggest things that will give interested students a leg up is being able to write well. Shannon tells us, "You can teach someone to edit but you can't teach someone to write."
9 - Professional Football Player, Baltimore Ravens and Mathematician, MIT John Urschel is a Mathematician based out of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. You may also recognize him from his "other" job, professional football player for the Baltimore Ravens. John splits his time between Baltimore and New England depending on his team's schedule. He discusses how to find balance and why it's important to only pursue your passions.
10 - Sports Business Consultant Rick is an independent sports business consultant. After working for the NHL's Washington Capitals for seven years Rick decided to find new challenges. His biggest advice to college students wanting to work in sports is to get as much experience as possible before you graduate!
11 - Training Director, Up2U Sports Caitlin is the Training Director for Up2U Sports, a nationwide nonprofit aimed at giving youth coaches the training they need to make the best possible impact on their kids' lives, both on and off the field.
12 - Vice President of Contract Research and Basketball Operations, BDA Sports Management David is the Vice President of Contract Research and Basketball Operations for BDA Sports Management. With 35 clients in the NBA and 70 more in international leagues, David and his team are responsible for contract negotiations, statistical analysis, and draft preparation.
